Are you new to the onsite sewage system industry? Do you have a million questions you'd like to ask those that have been in the industry for sometime? This is the panel discussion for you!

OOWA's Part 8 panel discussions are a forum where we consult knowledgeable onsite professionals from different perspectives in the industry to talk about topics that need some clarity.  We bring together regulators, installers, and designers and ask them to provide their thoughts and opinions on how best to tackle some of the Code's more perplexing aspects.  For this addition, we have three young professionals that have developed a vast amount of experience in their career thus far. In order for this panel to be successful, we ask that you submit your questions during the registration process.

Pre-registration is required for this event.  A maximum of 100 participants can join this webinar live, and participants will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.

The panelists are:

  • Moderator: Ella Bird, North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority
  • Designer: Jillian Fitzmaurice, Jillian's Septic Designs

Jillian grew up in Muskoka, always having jobs in the outdoors, and loved helping her Dad with his projects. After high school she attended Trent University and received a Bachelors of Science focusing on soil science and ecological restoration. In 2018, she landed a job as a septic re-inspection student in Muskoka Lakes evaluating hundreds of systems over two seasons. This lead to a career with various septic inspection roles at Municipalities in Ontario. This spring Jillian took the leap to create her own design firm.

  • Designer/Engineer: Jeremy Hein, Groundwork Engineering

Jeremy Hein is a Civil Engineering Technologist at Groundwork Engineering Limited located in Kingston Ontario.  He has been involved in the design of onsite wastewater treatment systems for both residential and commercial projects over the last 6 years.  Jeremy has experience in preparing and submitting Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) wastewater applications to the Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks (MECP), helping clients obtain approval for their sites.

  • Installer: Liam Hand, Coulson Bro

**A ZOOM invitation will be sent the morning of June 26th.
