OOWA’s Regional Meetings are an opportunity for members and non-members alike from across the province to come together, network and learn from each other. Join us at the end of your working day for a meal, to talk shop and to sharpen your skills with the help of friends and colleagues. 

Location: Patrick J. McManus Interpretive Centre: 7498 Carter Rd, Kars - Osgoode, ON K0A 2E0

Agenda:   4:00 pm – Check-in and choose your beverage (limit of 1 alcoholic beverage per person)

                     4:00 – 5:00 pm - Networking and Sponsor Booths

                     5:00 – 5:30 pm – Burgers, Salad, Chips, etc

                     5:30 – 6:30 pm – Presentations:

Claire Milloy, P. Geo., from RVCA will discuss the lesser-known tools of the trade that can be used to better protect our invaluable underground drinking water resources. Learn about the differences between Ontario Building Code requirements and MECP best practices, aquifer vulnerability, relevant topographic and groundwater flow considerations, and why we need additional tools to improve outcomes.

Eric Kohlsmith from Ottawa Septic System Office will discuss changes to the regulatory jurisdiction and septic system approvals

Pre-Registration is requested at all the Regional Meetings. This helps us plan for a successful event with enough food and beverage for all. 

Limit of one alcoholic beverage per person.

Cancellation Policy: There is no alternative date for this event. Should there be unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather, a cancellation notice will be sent to all registrants and registration costs would be reimbursed.

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. Full refunds for cancellations due to illness will be provided if notice is given prior to 2 p.m. on the day of the event.
